ACCIONA sponsored the P3 conference, which focused on the role of public-private partnerships (P3s) in the United States. The meeting was held in Dallas on March 2nd through March 4th.

ACCIONA participated in two panel discussions and presented at a stand where the company showed some of the international projects it developed under the public-private partnership model.

The P3 Conference, an annual event, connected industry leaders with institutions and representatives of the public sector to discuss public-private partnerships as a tool to help meet the infrastructure challenges facing the country.

The conference featured three days of plenary sessions, round tables and workshops, analyzing the political, financial, technical and legal aspects that must be taken into account when considering public-private partnerships. Additionally, new P3 models were explored and participants looked at how p3s are helping to create, maintain and improve social, transport, water or energy infrastructures throughout the country. Another central theme of the meeting was the use of new technologies to solve critical problems during the implementation of projects and in the management of assets.

Luis Palazzi, Director of ACCIONA's Infrastructure Division in the United States, and Jaime Díaz, Director of Business Development for Concessions in the USA, participated in two discussion panels: "The ten most critical problems in the sector" and "best practices for the successful development of a P3 project.”
