- Waterproofing the Pajares railroad tunnels
ACCIONA Infrastructure has designed, manufactured and is installing an innovative waterproofing solution for the Pajares railroad tunnels in Asturias, Spain, using composite materials.
ACCIONA, as part of the Nexus Infrastructure consortium signed contracts with the Queensland Government. The Nexus consortium includes ACCIONA, Ferrovial, Plenary Group and Transfield Services, and will design construct, finance, operate and maintain the 41km highway that will bypass the city of Toowoomba and improve traffic conditions and road safety in the region. In particular reducing the number of heavy vehicles travelling through Toowoomba’s city centre achieving contractual close for the delivery of the A$1.6 billion Toowoomba Second Range Crossing. Video about the rehabilitation of the Spanish National Archaeological Museum. Thanks to this project, the exhibition space has been increased by 30%, up to almost 10,000m2. The museum hosts more than 13,000 archaeological pieces in its 4 floors, 2 covered patios and 40 rooms.
