ACCIONA Infrastructure as part of Acciona Ferrovial Joint Venture (AFJV), has been engaged to design and build the new bridge over the Clarence River at Harwood, located on the Pacific Highway, in New South Wales.

BENEFITS
The project is part of the larger AU $4.36 billion Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway upgrade and is jointly funded by the state and federal governments.
Once complete, the upgrade will improve road safety, reduce travel times and increase transport efficiency.
CURRENT STATUS
Having executed the construction contract in July 2016, early works including detailed design, geotechnical investigations and flood modelling have started on the bridge over the Clarence River at Harwood.
The Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway is part of the proposed plan to connect Highway 401 in Ontario to Interstate 75 in Michigan, by way of a new Canadian inspection plaza and bridge crossing being constructed by the Federal Government in West Windsor.
The City of Edmonton wishes to undertake the replacement of the existing two lane Walterdale Bridge with a new three lane bridge. The new Walterdale is an innovate bridge with pedestrian facilities including a multi-use trail on the east side and a sidewalk on the west side.
