- Al Jubail Desalination Plant
This group of plants in Marafiq covers the water needs for the city of Al Jubail and can also distribute water to other parts of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.
The construction of the plant will double the combined capacity of the city's five existing desalination facilities. The contract includes the design, build, and commissioning of the Al Jubail seawater desalination plant.
The desalination project is a key part of the South Australian government’s Water Proofing Adelaide Strategy. It provides Adelaide with half of its annual water usage and is powered by sustainable energy sources.
The Tampa Bay project is but one of ACCIONA Agua’s 70 reference plants in the sector with a total installed capacity of over 1.6 million cubic meters per day.
