- St John Safe Clean Drinking Water Project (SCDWP)
The City is partnering with P3 Canada and the Province of New Brunswick to deliver the SCDWP
Saint John plans to construct a new 75 million litre per day drinking water treatment plant, three new 11 million litre storage reservoirs and 13 other water transmission system improvements. In addition to these projects, well site development will take place on the City’s west side. The drinking water project will provide Saint John residents with cleaner, safer water and allow the City to minimize maintenance costs.
The plant provides water to the towns of Fajardo, Ceiba and Luquillo, from a reservoir fed by the River Fajardo.
The Mundaring Water Treatment Plant is the major source of water for around 33,000 rural and town services that comprise the Goldfields and Agricultural Water Supply Scheme.
